Traxiant, through its founder/CEO and principal Roger Bass, is consulting with leading providers to help them achieve strategic breakthroughs in B2B Payments. Success depends on delivering early wins with minimal investment, internally or perhaps with one key partner. Those early wins can create the business and product foundations for accelerating end-user adoption and value – and alignment with partners. In that second phase, Traxiant will provide new solutions to do just that, in particular with platform offerings to support a vibrant, growing ecosystem of connected partners.
In 2013, Traxiant founder, CEO and principal Roger Bass led an Intuit project to enable B2B invoices sent from QuickBooks to flow automatically into an enterprise customer’s e-invoicing network. New cloud APIs and technologies had only recently made such seamless integration achievable at reasonable cost. Various friction points in that system, however, stopped it from scaling rapidly and massively across the many trading relationships where it was needed.
B2B payments, however, much more than invoices, are where the economic incentives exist to drive change. Technical aspects too, make the rapid scaling of connected solutions more feasible than with invoices. And increasingly, financing solutions around such payments (including card) have become, economically speaking, the “tail that wags the dog”. Convinced of this, Roger started Traxiant to help payments, network, and software providers accelerate ecosystem and related strategies they have adopted in pursuit of this opportunity. While not the only valid approach here, card-based solutions may well play an important role early on, given the maturity of that ecosystem.
